Steelers G Chris Kemoeatu Fined $25K For Two Personal Foul Penalties

Steelers left guard Chris Kemoeatu said today that he has been fined $25,000 for two personal foul penalties against the Cardinals this past Sunday. One was an illegal hands to facemask $10,000 fine and the second was $15,000 for a late hit.

Both of those incidents came on the Steelers second possession this past week and extremely hurt the drive. Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he planned to encourage Kemoeatu that those types of penalties must stop.

Four Steelers lineman have now been fined this year dating back to the preseason as Maurkice Pouncey, Doug Legursky and Ramon Foster have all been out of pocket because of infractions. In addition to those four players, Troy Polamalu, Antonio Brown, James Farrior and Ike Taylor have also been fined this season. Polamalu has been fine twice.

The Steelers fine totals for 2011 now sit at $120,000.
