The Steelers were back on the practice field Wednesday in preparation for their Sunday game against the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Cincinnati. Not practicing on Wednesday for the Steelers were wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (knee), linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring), wide receiver Arnaz Battle (hamstring), safety Troy Polamalu (rib), linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (knee) and wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (knee). Sanders has been ruled out for this week as he had his knee scoped earlier in the week according to head coach Mike Tomlin and will miss a couple of weeks. Tomlin also indicated on Tuesday that both Cotchery and Sylvester could be limited early in the week due to knee swelling. Linebacker James Farrior (calf), wide receiver Hines Ward (head) and guard Doug Legursky (toe) all reportedly practiced fully today and only Ward was listed on the injury report. Farrior has missed the last two games after suffering a calf injury against the Cardinals, while Legursky has missed the last three games due to a dislocated toe suffered against the Jaguars.
For the Bengals on Wednesday, wide receiver Andre Caldwell (groin), tight end Jermaine Gresham (hamstring), linebacker Thomas Howard (hamstring), cornerback Adam Jones (hamstring), linebacker Rey Maualuga (ankle) and tackle Andre Smith (toe) were all limited today. Cornerback Nate Clements (knee), safety Chris Crocker (knee), defensive end Carlos Dunlap (hamstring), tight end Donald Lee (foot) and running back Brian Leonard (knee) all missed Wednesday.
