Below are the offensive personnel packages, play counts and participation chart for the Steelers week 8 win against the New England Patriots on Sunday. You can tell by the number of plays run out of 11 personnel that the Steelers game plan was to throw and attack the Patriots secondary with numerous 3 wide receiver sets. When you add in the 1 & 10 personnel packages the Steelers used 3 or more wide receivers on 55 of 78 offensive plays.
The three 22 personnel packages were used on the final drive curiously. The Steelers used 2 or more tight ends on 22 of 78 snaps.
Jonathan Scott saw 4 snaps in place of Marcus Gilbert at right tackle.
