Steelers Ravens Week 9 Line Opens With Pittsburgh Slight Favorites

When the Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday night at Heinz Field, first place in the AFC North will be up for grabs. The Steelers have reeled off four straight wins heading into this game with their last loss coming against the Texans back in week 4 on the road. The Ravens are coming off of a home victory over the Cardinals, but it was not easy as they trailed 24-3 at halftime. They held the Cardinals to just 3 points in the second half and running back Ray Rice scored 3 touchdowns to power the 30-27 come from behind win.

The Steelers Ravens betting line opened with the Steeler favored by 3 1/2 on Bodog and it is currently holding there as of this posting. It has slipped to 3 however on various other online betting sites and will likely shrink to 2 or 2 1/2 by the time the two teams kickoff Sunday night.

Head coach Mike Tomlin gave the latest injury updates today during his press conference and the line has yet to budge despite the likelihood that the Steelers will be without linebackers LaMarr Woodley, James Farrior and James Harrison. I suspect the smart money will start coming in on the Ravens as the injury reports come out starting on Wednesday. The over/under is currently at 42 points for the game, while the vig has increased to -120 at few of the sportsbooks.
