Prediction Of Week 13 Steelers Inactives Against The Bengals

The Steelers are back home this week to host the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field. The final injury report on Friday showed two players ruled out in Arnaz Battle and Chris Carter. Larry Foote was listed as questionable, while LaMarr Woodley, Troy Polamalu, Emmanuel Sanders, Ben Roethlisberger, Stevenson Sylvester and Maurkice Pouncey were all listed as probable. Let\’s have a look at the injured players and predict the other remaining inactives this week as the Steelers look to move to 9-3 on the season and 2-2 in the AFC North. The official inactive list are released 90 minutes before kick-off and I will have them up on the site as soon as they are announced.

WR Arnaz Battle – Battle injured his hamstring against the Ravens back in week 9 and has yet to recover from it. He was limited this week on Wednesday and failed to practice on Thursday and Friday. He was finally ruled out on the Friday injury report and will not play.

LB Chris Carter – Carter has had hamstring problems all season and re-injured it Sunday night against the Chiefs. It sounds like it could be a long fight back for him again this go around and he could be down the next few games.

LB Larry Foote – Foote was limited all week due to a hamstring injury suffered Sunday night against the Chiefs as well. His injury is not as severe as the one suffered by Carter, according to head coach Mike Tomlin, but being limited and listed as questionable leads me to believe they will rest him this week.

NT Chris Hoke – Hoke remains behind Steve McLendon on the depth chart and the Steelers will likely only dress 5 defensive linemen once again. The only way I can see Hoke dressing for this game is if either Sylvester or Woodley have problems with their injuries during warmups before the game.

DE Al Woods – Woods has yet to be active since being claimed off waivers a few weeks ago. The Steelers defensive line is very healthy right now, so it makes sense that he will be down again this week. The only way Woods has a chance to be active would be if Sylvester and Woodley are both inactive.

T Jamon Meredith – The Steelers will likely dress 8 linemen once again and this leaves Meredith as the odd man out. The only we he is active on gameday going forward is because of injuries to the offensive line.

QB Dennis Dixon – Dixon should be inactive once again baring an unforeseen circumstance.
