Steelers 49ers Friday Injury Report Week 15 – Roethlisberger Limited

Steelers 49ers Week 15 Practice Injury ReportThe Pittsburgh Steelers were once again on the practice field Friday getting ready for their week 15 game Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. The Friday injury report is now out and once again center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot), safety Troy Polamalu (hamstring), linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) all did not participate in practice for a second straight day. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ankle) was very limited today according to reports as he looks to try to recover from his high left ankle sprain suffered last Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns. Roethlisberger still figures to be a game-time decision as does Pouncey at this point. Should both Roethlisberger and Pouncey have to sit, Charlie Batch would get the start at quarterback and Trai Essex would start at left guard, as Doug Legursky would then have to start at center in place of Pouncey. The key day for Polamalu will be on Saturday as he is recovering from a hamstring strain suffered last Thursday night. Wide receiver Arnaz Battle (hamstring) and cornerback Curtis Brown (knee) were both limited on Friday for a second straight day. Tackle Marcus Gilbert (illness) returned to practice after sitting out sick on Thursday. Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) also practiced fully again and is still not listed on the injury report this week.

For the 49ers on Friday, neither linebacker Patrick Willis (hamstring) nor left tackle Joe Staley (concussion) participated in individual drills at the beginning of practice Friday. Wide receiver Braylon Edwards (knee) and fullback Bruce Miller (knee) both limited again on Friday.
