Steelers Browns Thursday Injury Report Week 17 – Polamalu Sits Again, Harrison Back At Work

Steelers Browns Week 17 Practice Injury ReportThe Pittsburgh Steelers were back on the practice field on Thursday as they continue to prepare the Cleveland Browns this Sunday on the road in Cleveland. The Steelers look to move to 12-4 on the season with a win in their final 2011 regular season game. The Thursday injury report is out now and it shows that guard Doug Legursky (shioulder), running back Mewelde Moore (knee) and safety Troy Polamalu (knee) all did not practice again today. Legursky and Moore were practically ruled out on Tuesday by head coach Mike Tomlin. The status of Polamalu is unknown right now and Friday will be a key day for him. He was not mentioned by Tomlin in his weekly press conference, so it might be they are just trying to get him some extra rest. He is not expected to miss the game Sunday according to reports. Linebacker James Harrison (neck) returned to practice Thursday after sitting out on Thursday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ankle), center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) and linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) all practiced fully for a second straight day and all look on course to play Sunday. Roethlisberger is battling a head cold now, but according to offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, Roethlisberger moved around good today on his healing left ankle and was a little better today than yesterday. Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) remained limited again on Thursday and is unlikely to play Sunday as he rehabs his fatigued hamstring. Wide receiver Mike Wallace (ankle) practiced fully today after being limited on Wednesday.

For the Browns on Thursday, guard Shawn Lauvao (ankle), fullback Owen Marecic (ankle) and cornerback Dimitri Patterson (hand) practiced fully for a second straight day. Wide receiver Josh Cribbs (groin) and wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi (foot) practiced fully after being limited on Wednesday. Defensive lineman Scott Paxson (hand, calf), running back Peyton Hillis (elbow), linebacker Kaluka Maiava (hand) and linebacker Quinton Spears (head) were limited today. Quarterback Colt McCoy (concussion), wide receiver Jordan Norwood (concussion) and tackle Tony Pashos (illness) all sat out again today.
