Steelers Rams Wednesday Injury Report Week 16 – No Practice For Roethlisberger & Woodley

Steelers Rams Week 16 Practice Injury ReportThe Pittsburgh Steelers started their own the field practice preparations today for their week 16 game at Heinz Field against the St. Louis Rams. The Wednesday injury report has been released now and it shows that cornerback Curtis Brown (knee), quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ankle), running back Mewelde Moore (knee) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) all are listed as not practicing today. Center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) both practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday. Linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) was not listed on the injury report today.

Moore will not play this week after he suffered an MCL sprain against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. Woodley started Monday night and said he didn’t have any problems with the hamstring that had been hampering him and that he came out Monday night because of fatigue. Roethlisberger said earlier today that it was news to him that he would not play Saturday against the Rams. He says he will take it day by day. Both Brown and Pouncey missed the game Monday night against the 49ers. Head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he hoped to have Pouncey, Sanders and Carter back this week.

For the Rams on Wednesday, quarterback Sam Bradford (ankle), quarterback A.J. Feeley (thumb), defensive back Josh Gordy (abdomen), defensive end Chris Long (ankle) and cornerback Justin King all sat out practice today. Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (illness) practiced fully. If Bradford can\’t get in at least some reps on Thursday, Kellen Clemens probably will get his second successive start Saturday at quarterback.
