They laughed, they fought, they cried. Well maybe not exactly, but in Episode 57 of season two of The Terrible Podcast, David Todd and I have some laughs and some disagreements as we discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers upcoming Monday night game with the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. As usual we start with the injury report and the status of Ben Roethlisberger, Maurkice Pouncey Emmanuel Sanders and Troy Polamalu and who we think will and will not play. We debate who should start at quarterback if Ben can\’t go and at left guard if Doug Legursky has to move to center and what the team should do with their linebackers with James Harrison out for this game due to suspension. That talk sounds a little like an Abbott and Costello bit to start with, but we sort it out as we talk about Lawrence Timmons and Jason Worilds.
We then give our thoughts on the upcoming Monday night game and the schemes the two teams will likely use and how they will approach things from each side of the ball. We don\’t think it is quite a straightforward as many of the “experts” seem to be suggesting. We close with our picks and are probably on different sides of as many games as we have been all year. Make sure to check out our Wednesday podcast as well if you missed it as we talked to 49ers beat writer Matt Barrows from the Sacramento Bee.
