Rashard Mendenhall & Cortez Allen Both Injured In First Half Versus Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers trail the Cleveland Browns 6-3 at halftime in Cleveland, but the bigger news is the two first half injuries that they suffered, as both starting running back Rashard Mendenhall and backup rookie cornerback Cortez Allen both were injured.

Mendenhall suffered a right knee injury on a 5-yard carry on the final play of the first quarter. He was checked by the Pittsburgh\’s training staff before heading off to the locker room for further examination. His return was termed as questionable.

Allen suffered a left shoulder or arm injury after being involved on a special teams tackle in the first half. He laid on the turf a while before being helped to the lockerrom with his arm being held for support by the training staff.

Head coach Mike Tomlin will likely update the status of both players during his post game press conference.
