Steelers Announce 6 More Players Signed To Future Contracts

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially made several future contract signings official today that I had previously reported along with a few players that had not yet surfaced. Officially signed now to future contracts are quarterback Troy Smith, cornerback Walter McFadden, wide receiver Tyler Beiler, wide receiver David Gilreath, wide receiver Derrick Williams and wide receiver Jimmy Young.

the two new names on this list that were not yet reported are McFadden and Gilreath. McFadden spent a portion of 2010 and 2011 with the Oakland Raiders and on the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals in 2001 as well. He is the younger brother of Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden. Gilreath started out as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts last season and spent time on the practice squad of the Colts, St. Louis Rams and Buffalo Bills.

Lot of WRs. Are we missing something?

You are going to have a lot of QB’s in camp. They need someone to throw to.

We have depth at WR and need to improve the O-Line but we continue to STOCKPILE the WR position!!!!

If you have a Hall of Fame WR corp it does you no good if you don’t have a solid O-Line!!!

It’s not like these guys have much of a chance making the team, but Troy Smith? Puh-leez. Why bother.
