Steelers Place Chris Carter On Injured Reserve

We told you yesterday that the Pittsburgh Steelers promoted running back Chad Spann to the 53 man roster, but we did not have a corresponding move. This morning it was announced that rookie linebacker Chris Carter was placed on injured reserve with his bad hamstring. Carter has fought the hamstring all season and was only active for 8 games. He managed 3 tackles in his limited playing time.

Carter was the Steelers 5th round draft pick in 2011 out of Fresno State and is the third Steelers rookie draft pick to be placed on in injured reserve as he joins cornerback Curtis Brown and running back Baron Batch on the reserve injured list.
