Steelers Six From Around The Web – January 9th – The Mourning After Edition

Here are the post game quotes on from several Steelers players following the overtime loss to the Denver Broncos.

Doug Farrar has a good breakdown on what happened on the final pass play from Tim Tebow to Demaryius Thomas. I tweeted after the game I did not think it was cover zero and this, along with the quotes of Ryan Mundy, pretty much make you believe it wasn\’t.

Here are the quotes from the Broncos lockerroom as well as both Tebow and Thomas are quoted.

I have posted a quick rundown of the Steelers 2012 free agent class and go through each one by one. Here is an updated look at the Steelers players currently under contract for 2012 and an updated salary cap look.

Ed Bouchette joined 93.7 The Fan this morning to talk about the Steelers loss and some of the decisions that face the team heading into 2012.

James Harrison went low this time on Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker and as a result he will not play against the Patriots on Saturday night at New England. I bet Decker will tell you he wishes Harrison would have hit him high. He is lucky he did not suffer a career ending injury.

  • Yup, Harrison finally did what the player safety rules demand of him, and we witnessed the result as predicted by Harrison.

I am still wondering why the helmet to helmet hit by the Broncos DB on Mike Wallace was not flagged, or even talke about by the CBS crew…it was flagrant and exactly what would have drawn 15 yards had it been JH or RC on any other WR in the league!

I would like to hear Ike talking about how he was snubbed for the probowl….

  • Sgray58

I agree! I have been looking to see if he was fined for it……and of course….NOTHING!!!

  • Flappy

Completely agree – I think there was one replay and certainly no commentary. Also, is it just me or on the 1st big pass Tebow completed the Steeler D-Lineman closest to Tebow was flagrantly held (Keisel maybe?)
