Keep The Ilkin Family In Your Prayers

Sharon Ilkin, the wife of former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman and current color commentator on the Steelers radio broadcast Tunch Ilkin, lost her battle with cancer on Monday. She was just 55 years old. According to a post by Dale Lolley on Tuesday, Sharon was once on the cover of Sports Illustrated with basketball great Larry Bird, when both were in school at Indiana State University. You can read about the upcoming services here on the Beinhauer Family Services website and the obituary states that memorial donations in the name of Sharon may be made to Light of Life Rescue Mission, 10 E. North Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All of the hearts of Steeler Nation I know go out to Tunch, their three children and the rest of the extended family.
