Steelers Six From Around The Web – February 1st – Polamalu 6th Most Marketable NFL Player Edition


Troy Polamalu is the 6th most marketable player in the NFL, according to an exclusive survey of sports business execs, analysts and media members conducted by Street and Smith’s Sports Business Daily. Ben Roethlisberger finished tied for 20th on the list.

US Ambassador to Ireland and President Emeritus of the Pittsburgh Steelers Dan Rooney has a Youtube video message for the Irish aimed at explaining the sport to the Irish.

Gerry Dulac thinks the interview given to Todd Haley was made very public for a reason and thus he thinks the chances of Haley getting the offensive coordinator job are remote. Maybe this just a favor to Haley to get the light shined on him a bit. we shall see.

New York Giants owner John Mara once again told the story during media day about how Roethlisberger, not Philip Rivers, would have been the Giants pick in the 2004 draft had a deal not been struck between them and the San Diego Chargers for Eli Manning. This is not new news as most would have you believe.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame 2012 class will be made known on Saturday and steelers.com is doing a series on the finalists with Steelers connections. The latest piece was on Dermontti Dawson and it is very good.

Pro Football Focus has the final regular season under pressure stats up for the quarterbacks and Roethlisberger finished 10th on the overall grades.
