Another Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent has reported signed his restricted tender today. According to Howard Balzer of ESPN Radio in St. Louis, tight end David Johnson signed his one-year restricted tender that will earn him $1.26 million this upcoming season.
Johnson was one of six restricted free agents tendered prior to the start of free agency. Ramon Foster is the only other Steelers player to sign his tender heading into today. That leaves Doug Legursky, Ryan Mundy, Keenan Lewis and Mike Wallace as the only restricted free agents that have yet to sign there tenders.
Wallace was tendered at a first round level of $2.742 million and a report surfaced today by Adam Schefter stating that Wallace had no intentions of signing it and is willing to sit out offseason workouts until a new long term deal is reached. The remaining unsigned restricted free agents were tendered at the lowest level of $1.26 million and they all are expected to sign them soon.
