It was annouched earlier today that the Pittsburgh Steelers had waived former University of Pittsburgh linebacker Brandon Lindsey and signed former LSU linebacker Ryan Baker. I mentioned in that post that Lindsey might have been waived injured with a shoulder injury and that indeed was the case.
Lindsey announced on Twitter today that he tore up his shoulder and that it will require surgery and rehab. It is unknown if the Steelers reached an injury settlement with Lindsey or if he will be placed on injured reserve after clearing waivers.
Lindsey also thanked the Steelers this afternoon on Twitter for the opportunity to play for them as well. His tweet read, “I wana thank the steelers for the opportunity! Really wish it worked out but God has a diff plan for me!”
The undrafted free agent also said that he is going to come back stronger and hungrier. Best of luck to him from all of Steeler Nation.
