Report: Steelers To Report To 2012 Training Camp July 25th

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette today, the Pittsburgh Steelers are scheduled to report to Latrobe on July 25th for the start of the 2012 training camp. So 45 days and counting if you are scoring at home.

The arrival day of players to Latrobe usually means that we can expect a flurry of player interviews with the media prior to them hitting the field for the annual conditioning test. While not yet set in stone, it is now believed that the first practice will take place on July 26th, a Thursday. Prior to that practice starting is when we should know which players will begin training camp on the ACTIVE PUP list.

Speculating ahead, the annual Friday night lights practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium will most likely take place on August 3rd, but once again that date has not officially been announced. Make sure to keep checking steelers.com for the official 2012 Steelers training camp schedule and I will pass that along on the blog in addition as soon as it is posted.

On Thursday the team wrapped up their third and final OTA session of the off-season and next week begins the mandatory mini-camp.
