Steelers Six From Around The Web – July 18th – The Dark Knight Rises Edition

Greg Cosell of NFL Films posted Tuesday on the evolution of the zone blitz that has been made famous by Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau.

The Byham Theater in Pittsburgh hosted a private “red carpet” screening Tuesday night of “The Dark Knight Rises” and it was attended by several current and former Steelers players, many of whom can be seen in the film as members of the Gotham City Rogues. The Steelers report to training camp one week from today and that means Saint Vincent College in Latrobe is gearing up once again to play host.

According to Forbes magazine\’s annual survey, the Steelers ranked the 21st the most valuable franchise in sports at $1.02 billion.

Pittsburgh’s historic Three Rivers Stadium would have been 42 years old this past Monday. The stadium was demolished Feb. 11, 2001.
