Season 2, Episode 122 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and welcome the month of July as that means training camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers begins later this month. We start the show off though by taking a look at the 2012 offensive line of the Baltimore Ravens and where their strengths and weaknesses are compared to last year. Is this a unit that has more downside than upside this year? I think so.
The news came out yesterday that former practice squad tackle Trevis Turner has been suspended for four games in 2012 and David and I touch on that briefly before talking about the latest health update that free agent tackle Max Starks provided via Twitter this past week. Will he be ready by training camp? We hit briefly on the left tackle position as it stands right now and I reemphasize my concerns of Jonathan Scott hopefully not winding up the week one starter should Mike Adams not win the job outright and Starks is not resigned.
I wrote about the safeties this past week as it relates to possible training camp battles that are on the horizon and David and I discuss that as it relates to Will Allen, Myron Rolle and DaMon Cromartie-Smith. The big question that looms is if the Steelers will keep four or five out of training camp with Ryan Clark slated to miss the first game against Denver.
We close things out by delivering the news that wide receiver Connor Dixon has been waived from the injured reserve list now. That should help a few of you sleep better I am sure.
