Ben Roethlisberger Injures Left Ankle But Not Deemed Serious

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger apparently had his left foot stepped on late in practice on Saturday and he ended up watching the rest of practice standing on the sideline with a ice pack taped to his ankle. Head coach Mike Tomlin did not seem too concerned about the injury following practice and said that the quarterback just had his foot stepped on.

“He\’s fine,” Tomlin said. “Somebody stepped on his foot. You guys love the Ben updates.”

Guard Willie Colon (ankle) and running back Isaac Redman (groin) were both sidelined on Saturday and were termed day-to-day by Tomlin. Neither injury is considered serious. New injuries on Saturday were to linebacker Ryan Baker (ankle) and linebacker Brandon Johnson (ankle).

Running back John Clay (groin) was back at practice on Saturday.
