Mike Adams & Jonathan Dwyer Back In Pads Thursday

Some good news to finally pass along on Thursday as Bob Labriola is reporting via Twitter that rookie left tackle Mike Adams is back in pads today after suffering a sprained knee Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. The speculation was that Adams might not work at all this week, but according to Mark Kaboly on Twitter, Adams is working as the second team left tackle today behind Marcus Gilbert while wearing a brace on his knee.

Joining Adams back in pads On Thursday is running back Jonathan Dwyer, who suffered a sprained shoulder last Thursday night in his limited playing time. Dwyer has been limited since suffering the injury, and like Adams, we will have to wait for head coach Mike Tomlin to address the media following practice as to the status of both players heading into the weekend. Kaboly reports that Dwyer is running as the first team running back in drills.

Running back Isaac Redman, who was scheduled to have an MRI this morning on his injured groin, is not in pads today per Ed Bouchette, but is on the field. As Bouchette points out, that is a good sign in itself, so hopefully the MRI revealed nothing serious.
