Season 3, Episode 7 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and start by recapping all of the news since the last episode. That includes us talking about the decision the Pittsburgh Steelers made to remove Rashard Mendenhall and Casey Hampton from the PUP list on Friday.
We move on to recap the current injury situation as it stands on Tuesday and that means talking about James Harrison, Jason Worilds, Stevenson Sylvester and Isaac Redman specifically and what it could do to the 53 man roster. Also the decision to allow Chris Rainey to return to the game Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts has David and I up in arms based on what we know so far after the game.
Mike Wallace reportedly should be back next week, so we can\’t help but include some Wallace Watch talk in this episode.
David and I talk about several ways to free up some roster spots in case the list of injured players remains long to start the season. We talk about scenarios that consist of the Steelers keeping 4 wide receivers, 8 offensive linemen or 2 quarterbacks as several options. If you like thinking about how the 53 man roster might shake out initially, you will enjoy this talk.
In the second half of the show we have a look at the Steelers 26-24 win over the Colts Sunday night and look at the performances in the game by position. We start first with the offense and move on to the defense. If you like offensive line talk, I have plenty of opinion to give on that.
We wrap up other items from the game along with a few other tidbits before closing out this episode.
