The Terrible Podcast – Training Camp Saturday Day 11 Special Edition Episode

Steelers PodcastWith the second Saturday of training camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers now in the books, I fly solo for about 15 minutes tonight and recap the news and notes from day 11 at Latrobe. We go over the main highlights reported by the media on Saturday and that includes the goal-line drill.

Injuries continue to mount at the linebacker position with both Ryan Baker and Brandon Johnson both apparently suffering ankle injuries of some sorts. The outside linebacker lines are already short enough, so if either of those two players are expected to be down for more than a few days, we could see another roster move to add another outside type. We shall see.

All in all this episode is 15 minutes of rambling about where I see the roster at right now and what my concerns are. We should be back at you on Sunday to recap day 12 for you as well.

Have a great weekend.

I really do enjoy most of your podcasts.
I also believe that Rainey will be the # 5 WR unless some one steps up to be really good on special teams.
Also I believe what you alluded to, That the TE position could be the weakest position on the team.McCoy could make the roster till Saunders comes back if they still want to keep him.
Most of what I have picked up from Steelers Depot and Steel City Insider. Tells me that.
I know you said Essex would make the roster, but if the Steelers keep Legs and Foster
It would make more sense to me to keep Beachum as that undressed 9th O linemanto save a few hundred thousand in cap space.
Also I am leaning toward the thought that they will keep 9 LBs this season if Harrison and Worilds are of the PUP list at the start of the season.
