Jets S LaRon Landry Fined $15,750 For Horse Collar Tackle On Antonio Brown

Yesterday it was reported that Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons was fined $21,000 for his hit to the head on New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and today we get word from Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News that Jets safety LaRon Landry has been fined $15,750 for his Sunday horse collar tackle on Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Landry, who maintains that he did not pull down while attempting to make the tackle, will reportedly appeal the fine, according to Mehta.

The play in question happened with just over 10 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter as Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger connect with Brown across the middle of the field with a second down pass. You can see the animated gif below of the tackle and decide if it is worthy of the fine. Landry leads the league in personal fouls through the first two weeks of action.
