Report: Isaac Redman Will Start Sunday Night Against Broncos

According to ESPN, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman (ankle) will get the start Sunday night in the season opener against the Denver Broncos.

Redman is listed as probable on the injury report, but he was able to practice fully all week.

This is not shocking news, but you can still expect fellow running back Jonathan Dwyer to get carries in this game as well. Dwyer had a fantastic preseason and has earned playing time.

Redman started last year in a playoff loss against the Broncos and he gained 121 yards on 17 carries in his first career playoff start.

Rashard Mendenhall (knee) was listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report and is almost certain not to suit up Sunday night as he continues to work his way back. In addition, running back Baron Batch (groin) is listed as questionable on the injury report, but he did practice fully on Friday after sitting out Thursday and being limited on Wednesday.
