Steelers Friday Injury Report – Harrison & Polamalu Questionable; Mendenhall Doubtful

The Pittsburgh Steelers have wrapped up their Friday practice session in preparation for their Sunday home opener at Heinz Field against the New York Jets and the final injury report is now out.

Linebacker James Harrison (knee) and safety Troy Polamalu (calf) both sat out for a third straight day on Friday and both are listed as questionable. Despite their questionable listing, it is unlikely that either will play.

With Harrison out again, Chris Carter will likely start again at right outside linebacker and share time with Jason Worilds. If Polamalu is out, Ryan Mundy will start at strong safety in his place.

Linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (knee) remains out and is listed as such on the Friday injury report as he continues to recover from a torn MCL.

Tackle Max Starks (illness) returned to practice on Friday after sitting out Thursday due to a reaction to a medicine that he took. He is listed as probable. Defensive end Ziggy Hood (back) and running back Jonathan Dwyer (foot) both practiced fully for a second day in a row and are both listed as probable as well.

Running back Rashard Mendenhall (knee) was listed as practicing fully, but once again is listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report.
