Steelers To Wear 1934 Throwback Uniforms In Games Against Redskins & The Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers team president Art Rooney II said Thursday afternoon on Steelers Live at 4 that the team will wear their 1934 throwback uniforms in the home games against the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens.

The 1934 stripped uniforms were unveiled back in mid April and modeled by running back Isaac Redman, who was quoted at the time as saying, “They went waaaay back for this one. I don\’t know how everybody else is going to take it, but I really like the uniform. I like the stripes. But we\’ll see. We\’ll see the reactions.”

Rooney II also announced during the show that the organization will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception at a game later this year and that they hope to have both Franco Harris and Frenchy Fuqua present for that.
