The Pittsburgh Steelers are on a bye this week, but NFL.com did have a great video this past week that briefly covered the evolution of the Steelers jersey.

The 2 minute video covers the early days of the uniforms starting with the original ones that featured the city of Pittsburgh crest on the front. That was a first at the time and has never been done since.

Also covered in the video are the striped uniforms that the team will wear twice this season as their throwbacks, as well as the golden triangle uniforms.

The adoption by the team of the US Steel logo is covered on the piece.
