Injury Report: Eagles A Healthy Team As They Prepare To Take On The Steelers

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid met the local media Monday morning following their Sunday night win over the New York Giants and he addressed the injury situation of the team coming out of the game as they prepare to face the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday at Heinz Field.

Reid said that starting cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (eye) is OK after suffering a scratched eye against the Giants. According to Reid, the team doctors gave Asomugha drops in the injured eye last night and he\’ll be re-evaluated again on Tuesday.

Quarterback Michael Vick (knee) suffered a knee contusion during the game, but Reid said that he too will be fine. Also fine are defensive tackle Derek Landri (knee), who suffered some knee inflammation and running back LeSean McCoy (knee), who tweaked his knee in the game, according to Reid.

Tackle King Dunlap (hamstring) and linebacker Akeem Jordan (hamstring) both missed the Sunday night game with hamstring injuries and the Eagles head coach noted that Dunlap is getting better and will practice this week, while Jordan will struggle to get back on field Wednesday.

Safety Colt Anderson (knee), who also sat out the Sunday night game, should be able to practice Wednesday and the same goes for long snapper Jon Dorenbos (ankle), who played against the Giants with a high ankle sprain.

Head coach Mike Tomlin will address the health of the Steelers on Tuesday during his regularly scheduled press conference.
