Steelers Injury Report: Polamalu & Gilbert Out For Redskins Game

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media today to talk about the game against the Cincinnati Bengals and the upcoming game against the Washington Redskins. The coach gave an injury report update during the first part of the press conference.

Safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) will both be out again this week. Safety Will Allen (ankle) might be limited in the first part of the week, but Tomlin expects him to play Sunday. Also expected to be back this week is center Maurkice Pouncey (knee).

Running back Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles), running back Isaac Redman (ankle), and linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) all have a chance to play against the Redskins. Tomlin did not mention linebacker Adrian Robinson (concussion) in his report. Robinson left the game Sunday night with a concussion.

Mike Adams will start in place of Gilbert and Allen figures to start in place of Polamalu again.
