Steelers Injury Report: Ryan Clark, LaMarr Woodley & Jonathan Dwyer Injured In Win

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media following the 27-12 win Sunday at Heinz Field over the Washington Redskins and gave an update of the players injured in the game.

Tomlin said that safety Ryan Clark suffered a concussion in the game and that linebacker LaMarr Woodley suffered a right hamstring strain. Tomlin said that he did not know the extent of the hamstring injury and that Woodley would get looked at again on Monday.

Also injured late in the win was running back Jonathan Dwyer, who suffered a tight right quad. Tomlin also added that he does not yet know the extent of that injury either, and that Dwyer will also be reevaluated on Monday.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

I saw Dwyer limp off on his last run but I wonder when Woodley’s injury happened… hopefully it is minor. Our front 7 really looked good today, which I attribute to improved health of Hampton, Harrison, and Woodley

Sure hate to lose Woodley again & i can’t even think about playing Eli without Clark & Troy. Holy crap our safety depth is scary right now.

Maybe Woodley’s injury happened on that one play trying to sack RG3 and he slipped on the field trying to stop himself and like cut back to get RG…thats the only play i can think of.

I saw Mundy crawl around and whiff on a ST return but I thought he was adequate next to Will Allen when Clark got dinged which REALLY shocked me. O-Line was good too!! A well Coached game on numerous sides of the ball. RG3 got 12 points..Let’s go to the Big Apple and get another one!!

Funny I felt the same way regarding all that.

All that’s my thots too. When Mundy went in for Clark because Will Allen was already in the game for Polo, I assumed Skins coaches would exploit that, maybe to even catch up on scoreboard. For Giants game, I cant imagine Mundy in deep coverage stopping Cruz without helmet-to-helmet penalty. So Ike & Keenan are going to have to play perfect so they wont need any help from #29 Mundy. Actually I would play a 3rd CB Cortez Allen insteda Mundy, I dont think Cortez is any worse than #29..
