Steelers Sign Cromartie-Smith, Waive Malecki

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster move on Saturday as they signed safety Damon Cromartie-Smith from the practice squad and waived lineman John Malecki to make room on the roster.

Malecki had been signed to the practice squad last Saturday and was active when Maurkice Pouncey could not play Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The signing of Cromartie-Smith likely means Demarcus Van Dyke could be inactive for the game Sunday as head coach Mike Tomlin hinted that there could be changes on special teams due to all of the penalties.

Malecki will likely be signed back to the practice squad on Tuesday.
