Season 3, Episode 26 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I get right into recapping the injury situation of the Pittsburgh Steelers following their 16-14 win on Sunday over the Philadelphia Eagles. Could Troy Polamalu be sidelined a few more weeks after reinjuring his calf? We discuss his situation as well as the hamstring injury suffered by LaMarr Woodley in the game.
It is a short week as the Steelers now prepare to take on the Tennessee Titans this coming Thursday and David and I get right into what we observed during the game against the Eagles. We talk about the success that the Steelers running game had and how Rashard Mendenhall performed in his season debut. The offensive line played well outside of the Willie Colon penalties and we talk about how the penalties on both Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown really hurt the offense along with their drops. We also talk about the play of the defense on Sunday and how Lawrence Timmons played out of his mind. It was also good to see James Harrison back on the field and we break down the play of the entire defense.
David was upset with the clock management at the end of the first half, so we have a good discussion about that and talk about a few other negatives we took out of the game in addition. We look over the snap counts from the game and discuss the upcoming roster exemption that the Steelers will get for tight end Wesyle Saunders as he returns from his four game suspension.
Please keep in mind that this episode was recorded prior to the Mike Tomlin press conference and we will be back on Wednesday to recap that and look ahead to the Thursday night game against the Titans.
