Report: Chiefs Still Have Yet To Pay Todd Haley What Was Owed Him

Need another reason as to why Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley might want to run up the score up against the Kansas City Chiefs Monday night?

Jay Glazer reported Sunday morning on the Fox pregame show that the Chiefs still have yet to pay Haley what was remaining on his contract after firing him late last season. Mike Jurecki of XTRA Sports 910 in Phoenix reported back in January that he was hearing that the Chiefs were refusing to pay the final year of Haley’s contract "for cause".

Haley was expected to file a grievance, but not much has been reported about that since then, but Glazer reported Sunday that the two sides are still in legal discussions about the matter.

Haley had made accusations that the Chiefs bugged portions of the team facility and tampered with his cell phone, so you can bet that his hatred for Chiefs General Manager Scott Pioli has several layers to it.

Haley told the Pittsburgh media earlier this week that this was just another game that he wants to win, so it will be interesting to see if he gets a chance to really run up the score should the Steelers put the Chiefs away early in this one.

In other words, Haley might take what is owed him out on the scoreboard.

I’d love to see the Steelers hang like 40+ on the Chiefs and the defense pitch a shutout but I’m not expecting it.

Payback is a b#### haha! Pioli & Chiefs owner didnt consider Haley might be facing them the following season using a top QB Ben.

Does anyone know the current status of Da’mon Cromartie-Smith? Is he on the street or is he on the practice squad?

Hate to say it but I’m not expecting it either, though I’d love to see it as well. Fact is, the Steelers tend to play down to the level of their competition, and have for many years. You only have to go back as far as the Raiders or Titans this season to see it.

The Chiefs have a talented roster…………they’re just the kind of team that can hang around till the 4th quarter if the Steelers let them. And that’s all it takes to lose yet another game in which they should never even be threatened. Let’s hope that trend doesn’t continue this Monday night.
