Steelers Chiefs Week 10 Defensive Participation Chart

Below are the defensive player play counts and the participation chart for the Pittsburgh Steelers week 10 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. We also are including down, time of play and yards gained to better help you identify the play.

The Steelers used quite a bit of base against the Chiefs in this game because they only forced them into 3 third downs in the first half. Only 19 snaps were they in the nickel with 10 of those plays coming in the last 12 plays of the game.

Not much else sticks out participation wise or scheme wise from this game. Cameron Heyward, Steve McLendon, and Al Woods continue to see their limited snaps

Instead of “more cowbell”, I’d like to start a “more McLendon” movement!

Great! Luved that snl skit, and if all 3 of our DL starters werent first round picks McLendon would be starting here. McLendon should start at left DE or NT here, let the bum other guys come off the bench. I gotta hav more McLendon.

That made me think too much. Then I took a chance by googled “more cowbell”… OMG funny vid. Get Pittsburgh Dad to be the talent discoverer guy requesting Mclenden. Im puzzled as anyone why he doesnt get more snaps. The chart says Mclenden got only 6 snaps compared to 61 snaps for Ziggy Hood, no wonder our defensive line got manhandled. Mclenden anchors tougher than Hood so Mclenden would help keep people off our linebackers. Even Hampton got 39 snaps who is not in good shape for that many. I hope someone asks Tomlin about Mclenden but Tomlin will just reply Mclenden gets many snaps in games.
