Steelers Injury Report: Antonio Brown & Troy Polamalu Deemed Questionable For Browns

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday for his weekly press conference and updated the injuries heading into the week as the team prepares to play the Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday in Cleveland.

Tomlin said that wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (rib) will be out  this week with multiple rib fractures that he sustained late in the game against the Baltimore Ravens and that quarterback Byron Leftwich (rib) is also out this week with a rib fracture. Tomlin would later add that he doesn\’t not think that those two players are out for the season.

Defensive end Ziggy Hood (back) will be questionable with his participation this week in practice with a lumbar spine sprain. They expect him to perk up by the end of the week. Running back Isaac Redman (concussion) is recovering from a concussion that he suffered Sunday night and is doing well with his test so far. He could be limited early in the week but the arrow is pointed up with him per Tomlin.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) had a good work session on Tuesday and will be limited at the first part of the week. Tomlin characterized him as questionable for Sunday. Tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) will work individual drills in a limited capacity this week per Tomlin and was characterized as questionable as well.

Safety Troy Polamalu (calf) is scheduled to run on Wednesday. How he does on during that session will dictate where he goes from there the rest of the week. Tomlin termed him as questionable.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) is doubtful this week. He had additional test done on Tuesday and all things are positive in terms of where he is , according to Tomlin.
