Steelers Injury Report: Rainey & Dwyer Practice Fully For Second Straight Day

The Pittsburgh Steelers were back on the practice field on Friday in preparation for their Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs and the injury report for the day is now out.

Running backs Jonathan Dwyer (quad) and Chris Rainey (rib) were able to practice for a second straight day and both appear to be on course to play against the Chiefs. Dwyer sat out last week against the New York Giants with a quad injury suffered late in the game against the Washington Redskins, while Rainey suffered his rib injury in the second half of the game this past Sunday against the Giants when he was tackled on a kickoff return.

Running back Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) was limited once again and this means that he will most likely be down once again. This would make the fourth game in a row that Mendenhall has missed since straining his Achilles against the Tennessee Titans.

Tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) was able to work on a limited basis on Thursday, but he sat out the Friday practice. He will be out this week.

Also not practicing on Friday, as expected, were wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle), safety Troy Polamalu (calf), and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring). All three will miss the Monday night game.
