Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman had a solid showing Sunday in the win over the New York Giants. Redman rushed for 147 yards on 26 carries and scored the go ahead touchdown late in the game.
For his efforts, Redman has been nominated for the NFL FedEx Ground Player of the Week Award and it is the second week in a row that a Steelers running back has been up for the award. Last week Jonathan Dwyer was nominated for his 100 plus yard performance against the Washington Redskins, but he ended up losing out to Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson, who rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns.
For Redman to win the award this week he will have to beat out Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin, who rushed for 251 yards on 25 carries and scored four times. Also competing with Redman this week is Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 182 yards on 17 carries.
