Video: Hines Ward To Play A Zombie On The Walking Dead – Behind The Scenes

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will have a cameo role this season in the hit AMC show, “The Walking Dead.” Ward will play a zombie of course and the 7 minute video below has all of the details.

The 36-year old Ward, who is now an NFL analyst for NBC Sports, had over 12,000 receiving yards in his career for Steelers and has never been shy when a camera has been put on him. Ward had a cameo role as a football player in the movie “The Dark Knight Rises,” the final Batman trilogy installment done by Christopher Nolan, that was released this past summer and everyone remembers his successful run for the trophy on “Dancing with the Stars.”

As the video explains below, Ward was reunited on the set of “The Walking Dead” with a former Georgia Bulldog teammate of his, Robert Singleton, who plays Theodore “T-Dog” Douglas on the show.

It is unknown if Ward, who will technically play a “Walker,” gets killed on the upcoming episode, but sitting in that chair for two hours getting his makeup done was likely enough to kill him. While in the chair, Ward notes that he looks like he did after he played games against the Baltimore Ravens. He is then quickly reminded that he looks like Ravens players after they played against him, instead.
