Bengals Injury Report: Dunlap Out Sick; Whitworth & Kirkpatrick Hope To Play
The Cincinnati Bengals are preparing to play the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field on Sunday and their first injury report of the week is now out.
Not practicing on Wednesday was defensive end Carlos Dunlap (illness), who sat out sick. Dunlap has 33 combined tackles on the season with 4.5 sacks and 4 forced fumbles to his credit. He is expected to be ready by Sunday.
Limited on Wednesday were kicker Mike Nugent (right calf), running back Cedric Peerman (ankle), and tackle Andrew Whitworth (head). Nugent has missed the last two games and the speculation is that he will sit out again on Sunday. That means that Josh Brown will most likely continue to handle the kicking duties.
Wednesday was the first day back at practice for Peerman since he injured his ankle earlier in the month against the San Diego Chargers.
Whitworth said on Wednesday that he's fine and ready to go after suffering a concussion last Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (head) said that he hopes to play Sunday as he looks to return from the concussion that he suffered against the Chargers.
