Cowboys Injury Report: CB Morris Claiborne, WR Dez Bryant & DT Jay Ratliff Sit Out Wednesday

The first injury report of the week for the Dallas Cowboys is out as the prepare to host the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.

Wide receiver Dez Bryant (finger) missed practice to get another opinion on his broken left index finger. Currently his status for Sunday is up in the air, but several believe that he will play and put of surgery.

Cornerback Morris Claiborne (concussion), guard Nate Livings (concussion), running back DeMarco Murray (foot), safety Charlie Peprah (foot), defensive tackle Jay Ratliff (groin), and linebacker DeMarcus Ware (elbow) also failed to practice on Wednesday. Ratliff is not expected to play Sunday.

Guard Ryan Cook (knee), running back Felix Jones (knee), and tackle Tyron Smith (ankle) all practiced fully on Wednesday.

Hopefully the Cowboys wont play Bryant since other receivers should be able to get open against whats left of our CBs. But Cowboys backs are against the wall desparatly needing every win now, so wouldnt surprise if they tape Bryant’s damaged finger against another finger so he can play even to just use him as a decoy.

Subliminal message to Steelers: Media reports said Dez’ finger ligament damage is very painful. So if they tape it up so he can play, perhaps at the bottom of a pile you can remind Dez how painful that finger is?…. hmmm hint.
