Report: Steelers OL Coach Sean Kugler To Be Named UTEP Head Coach

Updating the previous report, is now reporting that Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Sean Kugler will be the next head coach of UTEP.

Pete Roussel, the Founder/CEO of Coaching Search Consulting Inc., reported late Friday evening via Twitter that Kugler had interviewed for the open head coaching job at his Alma Mater and was currently the frontrunner at that point.

The thing everyone needs to keep in mind here is that the University has yet to make an announcement on Kugler being hired. Until it does, all we can do is pass along the reports from what we deem credible outlets.

Kugler joined the Steelers coaching staff prior to the 2010 season.

Glad for Kugler to get this chance, he’s done a lot with almost nothing last couple years. Always happy to see work pay off.

sorry for the lame question: he leaves after the current season, right?

  • Ahmad

Dag! I’m happy for him but I’m really don’t want to see him go. He has worked wonders with the O line and has managed to deal with injuries at all the positions.
