Steelers Injury Report: Woodley Ruled Out; Colon Probable

The Pittsburgh Steelers have put the wraps on their Friday practice as they prepare to host the San Diego Chargers Sunday at Heinz Field and the final injury report of the week is now out.

Not practicing again on Friday was linebacker LaMarr Woodley (ankle) and he has been officially been ruled out for the game Sunday along with tackle Mike Adams (ankle) and cornerback Ike Taylor (ankle).

With Woodley out Jason Worilds will make his second consecutive start at left outside linebacker. Cornerback Cortez Allen will make is first career start in place Taylor opposite Keenan Lewis in the Steelers secondary and will shift inside to nickel spot when the Steelers use their sub-package.

With Adams sidelined once again, rookie Kelvin Beachum will make his second consecutive start at right tackle.

Quarterback Byron Leftwich (ribs) is the lone player listed as questionable this week and he most likely will be one of the 7 game-day inactives as result.

Colon deemed himself a game-time decision on Thursday as he wanted to see how his bruised knee responded on Friday to practicing fully on Thursday. As it looks right now, he will likely play Sunday after being sidelined for the last two games. Should he wind up not being able to go, center Maurkice Pouncey would start again at left guard with Doug Legursky manning the center position.

As reported on Thursday, Roethlisberger will start on Sunday after missing the last three games with a shoulder and rib injuries. The Steelers quarterback will were beefed up shoulder pads and padded vest for extra protection.
