Steelers Offensive & Defensive Snap Counts: Week 15 Cowboys

Below are the initial week 15 offensive and defensive snap counts from the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24 overtime loss Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys.

On offense, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders only managed to play 11 snaps before being sidelined with a busted rib that was likely suffered during bathe first quarter pass breakup. This led to Jerricho Cotchery seeing extended playing time. There was a decrease n playing time for fullback Will Johnson as the Steelers used their 11 and 12 personnel quite a bit against the Cowboys. All five offensive linemen also managed to make it through the game uninjured.

On defense, linebacker LaMarr Woodley played 55 of the 67 snaps in his return from injury. As expected, Jason Worilds relieved him briefly in the game. Robert Golden played 17 snaps, mostly in nickel situations, while Curtis Brown saw his 11 snaps after Keenan Lewis left the game in the second half with a groin injury. Safety Troy Polamalu played every snap for the first time since returning from his calf injury.

We will have the participation reports out later on in the week and see how these match up.
