Steelers Sign CB Josh Victorian Back To Practice Squad; Release WR Derrick Moye

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a practice squad roster move on Tuesday as it was announced that cornerback Josh Victorian has been brought back and that wide receiver Derrick Moye was released to make room for him.

The Steelers needed Victorian back because the fractured ankle suffered by Ike Taylor early in the win over the Baltimore Ravens has thinned the depth. Taylor is expected to be sidelined at least two weeks and maybe longer.

Victorian had been on the Steelers practice up until last week when he was released to make room for wide receiver Bert Reed. Moye had been on the practice squad for nearly a month as he was signed back on Nov. 7 after wide receiver Antonio Brown injured his ankle against the New York Giants.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday during his press conference that the team could bring in a few free agent cornerbacks over the course of the next few days, but that signing one was not guaranteed. The team more than likely is just updating their rolodex in case more injuries were to take place.

With Taylor now out DeMarcus Van Dyke is expected to dress after being inactive for the last several games.
