The NFL Will Gladly Sell You Photos Of Brett Keisel Performing An Unsportsmanlike Action

Don\’t you just love the smell of hypocrisy on a Friday, especially when it comes from the NFL?

All of you certainly remember last Sunday when Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel was flagged early in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Keisel was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for performing his signature sack celebration, in which he pretends to be shooting an arrow on knee, after sacking quarterback Andy Dalton. It is a move that Keisel has done several times before, but the first time that he has been penalized for it.

If you need to be reminded of that play you can see the animated gif of the action below.

Now I am not going to get into whether or not the Steelers coaching staff or Keisel should have known the rule or not as that could be argued in another post, but I do find it amusing that the NFL will gladly now sell you a photo, framed if you would like, on their official website of Keisel performing the illegal act.

If this is an action that is against the rules then why would the league want to glorify it and try to make money off it? Oh, I know why. Because they want to make money off it. Just like they did when they tried to sell photos of Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy while he sat concussed on the ground. Or like the time when they tried to sell photos of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffering his serious ankle injury last season against the Browns.

The NFL will once again play dumb here and will have this photo removed from their store just like they did with the others after I called them out on it, but it still leaves more egg on their face nonetheless.

There is so much egg on the face of the league right now that even chickens are offended. Lord knows that if there is a group of anything these days that is offended by anything that the league or a player does then it should be made illegal immediately.

Goodell Egg On Face

Being that egg on the face of Goodell will soon to be illegal we can expect to have an opportunity to buy a picture of it soon on the NFL website.

Ah, hypocrisy.
