Season 3, Episode 73 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I talk about Super Bowl XLVII that featured the Baltimore Ravens holding off the San Francisco 49ers to capture their second Lombardi trophy. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was named the MVP of the big game so we discuss his playoff run and what it means for him going forward as far as a new contract is concerned.
We also talk about the game itself and break it down on both sides of the ball. Did the referees swallow their whistles and flags late in the game? We discuss several of the non calls and talk about a potential rule change that might be on the way as far as safeties go in the final two minutes of a game. There is one player on the 49ers that we both agree could be a potential free agent target for the Pittsburgh Steelers if the price is right, so that gets a little bit of our time and focus.
David and I also talk about the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2013 that was announced on Saturday and focus in on running back Jerome Bettis not making it in his third try.
