Report: Browns Show Interest In Steelers CB Keenan Lewis

With the legal tampering period now in full swing, prior to the start of the new league year, several reports are starting surface regarding teams that are interested in a few of the Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agents

Lane Adkins of the Orange and Brown Report posted on Twitter Saturday that the Cleveland Browns have talked to the representatives of cornerback Keenan Lewis.

That news is not surprising considering that Ray Horton, the former defensive backs coach of the Steelers, is now the new defensive coordinator with the Browns.

The Browns could use an upgrade at the position opposite Joe Haden and Lewis would easily fit into the 3-4 defense that Horton is implementing there. The Browns can\’t formally make Lewis an offer until Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. eastern time, but I am sure a few numbers have already been tossed around.

According to Adkins, the Browns also have made contact with the representatives of cornerbacks Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Antoine Cason and Sean Smith as well.
