Report: Browns Yet To Express Interest In Steelers CB Keenan Lewis

According to Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer on Twitter, the Cleveland Browns haven\’t yet expressed interest in signing Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Keenan Lewis, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in a matter of a few hours.

This disputes an earlier report from over the weekend that stated the Browns indeed had interest in the Steelers 2009 third-round draft pick.

Cleveland has been considered a perfect match for Lewis being as Ray Horton is the Browns new defensive coordinator. Horton was the Steelers defensive backs coach when Lewis drafted out of Oregon State.

The Steelers have cap room available now after restructuring the contract of linebacker LaMarr Woodley. With the free agent market continuing to flood at the cornerback position, there is still a chance that the Steelers could re-sign Lewis at the right price.
